As women, we tend to sacrifice ourselves for the needs of others before supporting our own needs. For example, women are still predominantly tasked with the manual and emotional labor of the home; making and bringing children to their health appointments, attending parent-teacher conferences, and managing extra curriculums. Women are also much more likely to be the ones who care for sick or elderly family members.
SIS Circle is a celebration of sisterhood and the intersection of women’s careers and home lives. At SIS Circle, we believe that this intersection is inseparable. They inform and influence each other. SIS Circle supports the whole woman; her wellness, career development, and personal growth. We believe that a strong community of women is the hidden force behind the most powerful women, and we want to bring that sisterhood to the front and center.
SIS Circle is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We honor, welcome, and celebrate diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences. We strive to create a thriving community where all women have a sense of belonging and support from each other.
CORE VALUES:
Sisterhood – Diversity – Belonging – Trust – Passion – Equity

Leilani is passionate about supporting others and in particular, other women. She started her career as a public school teacher and taught in Los Angles, CA, Okinawa, Japan, and Oakland, CA.. Her next stage brought her into the educational technology arena where she worked with small start-ups to large corporations including Houghton-Mifflin Harcourt, Promethean World, and Illuminate Education training thousands of educators across the U.S. Having led workshops at company retreats on work-life balance, Leilani was inspired to create a space where women could support, motivate, and inspire one another. Leilani lives with her husband Aaron and four young children in Oakland, CA.
Elaine enjoys making connections with others and helping women realize their true worth. She has worked at large companies such as the LA Times, Warner Brothers, Zynga and DocuSign wearing many hats, but most recently as an Executive Assistant to C-Suite and VP level leaders. With her experience and having run her own wedding planning side business in the past to help future brides dreams come true, Elaine’s role in overseeing our operations for SIS Circle is a natural fit. Elaine has a 4 year old son and lives in Richmond, CA.
